@Smurfette: @Adira: @reyorra: That's interesting! I know because they are a church, they are not subject to all the same regulations as a traditional daycare. Also, their ratios are great (6:2 plus floaters) so maybe that has something to do with it - more folks to check the babies? Either way LO's lovey is very breathable so I'm not worried :)

@blackbird: I'd be afraid of it not making it! Or forgetting to pack it for school.

My daughter's daycare only allows loveys after they move to the toddler classroom - and pacifiers are only allowed in the infant room. We have three identical loveys for her, one for home, one for daycare and a third for wash/backup. I've been rotating them over the last few months so she wears them all in!

We just send it to daycare and it comes home every day.

@Adira: I asked to send a lovely and was told it was against state regulations.

Yeah, definitely get one now and let her have it at home to break it in and then send it with her to daycare!!

@Smurfette: Yeah, my daycare just allowed light swaddle blankets, so I think that's why Xander has become attached to them like a lovey!

I would get another and let her use it at home and break it in.

I am surprised they allow them. Nothing was allowed in the cribs when under 1. Only a sleep sack.

We had the dilemma with my son, only we had just one teddy for the longest time. When he was given the option, he decided to take the new one to school and keep the old ratty one at home. In your case I would try to get a duplicate and send the old one to school.

@travellingbee: I am going to but I don't know if she will notice the difference? Her current one is a little worse for wear from being chewed on... So I'm not sure if I should make the new one her daycare lovey & at home lovey.

Get ready to see a lot of random little threads from me as we anticipate sending LO to part-time daycare!

They suggest bringing a lovey in addition to a crib sheet & light blanket. (I am going to ask about a sleep sack too since that's what we do at home.) LO has an Angel Dear lovey she sleeps with. I would not say she is highly attached but she does snuggle it.

Should we get a new one just for daycare & introduce it at home? Or send her current one & get a new one for home? I don't imagine it's practical to only have one make sure it comes home everyday & gets back to school...
