I can assure you as a chronic sufferer I am so careful not to spread them to others. I won't even touch the cold sore my self (I use Q tips to apply medication) and wash my hands so much. No kisses, no sharing utensils or drinks- which I doubt your teacher would do anyways. Yesterday I noticed that one of LO's teachers has huge cold sores all over her top lip and the sides of her mouth. Naturally I didnt say anything but I heard another parent asking her about it and she said its really painful but she kept saying "I promise not to kiss the kids" which made me a bit worried. I have never had a cold sore but I the other parent said they are very contagious </p>
