It is at a private school so no summer childcare. I would do all of the above- small edible gift, personal card, and a gift card. Then make sure that they'll be nut free for items. I don't know if my Olive Garden does this or not (I know they do take-out, just not sure of catering and delivery). Thanks! @LCTBQE: Yes to cash, always! We always gift the teachers cash for most holidays and they always are so appreciative! I've never really given the Director, Assistant Director, or the other helpers anything though, so I was kind of thinking it'd be nice to do something. The Assistant Director especially is pretty hands-on with the kids. I didn’t do anything for the director aside from burst into tears on the last day, but she wasn’t that involved, it was mainly the head teacher. I went to Olive Garden, ordered it from their catering menu (got extra chicken breasts since the one I ordered from was a little anemic on it) with the catering manager. They called me ahead of the delivery and it was all set up. They charged my credit card the day of the event. The catering manager was fantastic. She eliminated treats with nuts in it because it's a school environment. I'm doing catering this weekend for my son's baptism. So easy. He's been going there since 12 weeks and will be starting Kindergarten in the fall at a new school. I'm thinking I want to thank the director, assistant director, and the school in general in some way for taking such good care of my kid for the last 5+ years! Any ideas???
