I'm a teacher so get school vacation between terms (2 weeks) 3 times a year when daycare still operates. I will probably drop LO at Day care for part of the time.

We do it, though not as often as I wish we could! It's SO nice to have a "date" with SO even if it's just wandering around IKEA. I tell him that it's a reminder of why we're doing this whole thing. It's so important to bond with your SO.

A friend of mine works 50%, 3 days one week, 2 days the next. Her daughter is in daycare 3 days a week, every week. She uses the free day for appointments and things where she can't or doesn't want to bring her kid. I think it is a great idea!

YES.

YES YES YES YES YES.

We schedule at least one of these days a month. If I could have my way, more than that.

And RJ is in daycare every Monday even though I don't work on Mondays.

I'm so glad he LOVES school so much, otherwise I might feel guilty putting him in there when I'm not actually at work.

So far, we haven't, except for when MIL watched BabyX while we picked out a Christmas tree, and 1 date night (my birthday). Hopefully soon, my MIL will take Baby X overnight on our anniversary so we can have a good night of sleep and some alone time. I'd love to have more date nights with DH or time to run errands sans baby, but it just hasn't worked out so far.

We have. Sometimes you just want to run some errands without dragging along the baby.

Lo's not in day care. But we do get some day dates on the weekends. We just go whenever we can get a babysitter.

My mom watches my LO but we will do the same thing. When my DH and I have a day off at the same time, we'll still have my mom watch him while we run errands. Sometimes you need those days to yourself. Then we'll usually grab dinner or something together.

That sounds awesome!!! :-D

As I mentioned on your other thread, there are maybe 3 or 4 days a year when DH and I both have off from work and daycare is open. So we use those days to get stuff done together. Like on Friday, we are going to pick out carpet and paint for our home renovation. :-P Nothing too exciting!!

We pay for daycare by the month so my LO is currently there even though DH & I are both home today. DH works in the healthcare field and works a lot of unusual hours and sometimes we don't get quality time together for days!

We are having a "date day" and we are going to do some clothes shopping, see a movie, run errands, have lunch at a new restaurant...and then we will pick up our LO!

Do you ever drop your LO off when you really don't NEED to?
