We do nothing. I figure it’s either a pain in the butt beforehand or a pain in the butt afterwards 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thanks everyone.....I guess I'm just hyper nervous bc i get the kids up at 530 on week days and we are in the midst of them waking up at 430....which is annoying......but 330 is not tolerable :silly:

Nothing. I've always had good intentions, but I either never followed through or when I did it didn't really pan out anyway. We'll set his OK to Wake clock back and he'll probably play in his bed a while since he's good about following the clock. It'll work itself out, just like it does when we travel.

I won’t do anything.
We’ve travelled with LO in the past through big time zone changes and it’s always been fine. I just try and stick to general wake times and do an early/ late bedtime if necessary. I’m pretty flexible in general though with our schedule and LO is able to sleep in if need be.

i don't really do anything except make sure he gets a lot of time outside in the days leading up to it/the day of, I heard that helps and he usually adapts quickly.

DS is 5.5 and I've never done anything. It might take a couple days to adjust but it always works out. I think daycare/school routine helps with this.

I'm doing nothing - I figure they get up at 6, it's suddenly 5 but they've had the same amount of sleep, and then there's just an extra hour in their day - hopefully they go to bed as usual and all's well that ends well. I'm sure it won't work out.

In the past we have kept her up 30 minutes late two nights before and an hour the night before. Then on the day of the time change we stick to the new time all day for sleep and food. She has always adjusted within a couple of days. Fingers crossed results are the same this year.

@meadow: So we just went through DST change last weekend (we do so earlier in Europe). I kept the kids up a little later the days before but that was more because we were visiting with the grandparents anyway. Luckily they all slept until around 8am on Saturday and on Sunday they were up at like 6:45am (new time). So it really was a non issue. They are still rather tired in the evenings but that just makes for a fast bedtime. So all in all, it really was a non issue. Their daily routine in daycare also helps them adjust quicker.

@meadow: I will push it back like 15 mins but it's never made much of a difference. My son who's now almost 3 still takes a week or two bounce back from it...if ever! He gets up at 545 so 😭😭 daylight savings sucks

What are you doing to get ready for the end of daylight savings?

I was going to start pushing bedtime back 15 min each night starting tonight, but we have no wiggle room in the morning for wake up, so I don't know if this is worth doing...
