@daniellemybelle: I also find it so hard to get my head around... it should be simple but for some reason it boggles my mind!

Glad you started this thread! Why is Daylight Savings so hard for me to understand? So, when we Spring Forward, it means when we wake up that morning it will be 7am instead of 6am?

My LO's bedtime right now is about 8pm. I don't want her going to bed at 9pm... That's what it would be if we just kept her schedule right? I guess we need to start moving her bedtime up.

I'm looking forward to it because I foolishly think he'll start waking up at 7am or later again. (Doubt it, but one can wish!) Some people say moving bedtime earlier by 10-15 minutes for several days before the actual switch can help baby adjust. Others just go cold turkey. For fall back, we put him to bed about 30 min later the night of the switch, and he woke up a little bit early as expected, but after I don't think there was a huge adjustment period.

I think it'll be fine. Springing forward is usually much less painful than falling back. She may even start sleeping later...that's what I'm hoping for my LO!

My 5 month just starting sleeping through the night, and bedtime has been great. We say goodnight, give her a kiss, and lights out. How will daylight savings affect her sleep? Is there anything I can do to help the change? I'm scared that it'll just mess her up, and we'll be back to the crying, night wakings, etc.
