Old Ebbit is classic DC and surprisingly family friendly. Eastern Market breakfast doesn't take reservations, but is really fun!

There are some good suggestions in this thread I started looking for travel recs: http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/washington-dc-recommendations

But don't start researching the places if you haven't had breakfast yet, b/c you will quickly feel like you're starving! So many good options.

Silver Spring is not too far from where I grew up in Chevy Chase. Mandarin Palace on Connecticut Ave was a favorite spot growing up. One time I went with my uncle and we ordered a whole fish and the eye was still intact. The restaurant is near the Chevy Chase circle.

We will be in DC soon, and we're looking for food recommendations! My husban wants to try out a Chinese restaurant which is fine by me! Our only stipulation is that it has to take reservations and be family friendly.

We are staying in Silver Springs but are fine with driving into the city or surrounding areas. We will likely end up at one of the museums on Friday anyway!

Thanks!!
