I voted for NYC, but now thinking about it some more, I think my vote is for DC instead. I've lived in both, and I just can't stand the crowdedness and the no-reservations aspect of NYC restaurants. DC is a lot more manageable, the Metro stations have AC and it's clean. The DC dining scene is crazy awesome these days, but there aren't so many restaurants that it's dizzying trying to figure out where to go.
