Not only sad for the loss of the time together but it makes your hormones go crazy! I am in the midst of a similar thing at the moment and I feel your pain. I had really thought we would go to 15 months (when I go back to work). Looking like maybe we won't. She only nursed for about 2-3 minutes total this morning. I thought she would keep the morning session longer, but apparently not. About two months after I went back she stopped caring to nurse. Somewhere between 14 and 15 months she just stopped all together. I was actually pretty ok with it. She only nursed 2-3 times a day but it would be for a very short time. She was too busy playing to be bothered with nursing anymore. My supply dipped (I always had a low supply) and it became a struggle to get her to nurse so I eventually cut it off. We've been down to 2-3 sessions per day since I went back to work two months ago. Yesterday morning she nursed one side then popped off to go play. She nursed before bed for just a couple minutes and rolled away to sleep.</p> <p>This morning she didn't even ask for it. </p> <p>I'm so sad. I really didn't expect this reaction.</p> <p>Is this the beginning of the end?</p> <p>If you waited for your LO to self wean, how did it end? </p>
