I thought I'd feel less anxious but I felt MORE anxious. I watched some birth videos on youtube (WHY? I DON'T KNOW) and I was like, !!! I can't believe I did that!!! I can't believe I'm about to do it again!</p> <p>Just like the first time, though, labor started and I feel like once that's actually happening I sort of let go of anxiety and just did it. And it was fine. You'll be fine. This is normal... the first time you have no idea what to expect, but the second time you DO. I worry about this too and I'm nowhere near having a second yet. My doula always reminds me that every labor and birth is different so there's no need to try and compare the two or anticipate that the second will be anything like the first. Easier said than done!! I had a horrible experience the first time and dreaded the surgery for my entire pregnancy. My first experience was pretty bad despite a lot of forethought and preparation. Now I'm weeks (days?) away from my second and I'm having panic attacks about going through it again. I'm doing a couple of things differently this time but there's not much else I can do. Did anyone else go through this? </p>
