My daughter's infinite questions don't bother me, but I am an introvert, and it's very hard for me to just talk and talk and talk endlessly like she wants to.

@ScarletBegonia: I'm also a teacher so interested to see what others have to say. My dad is a professor and I remember my brother going through the questions stage. The only thing I remember dad getting impatient about was when he wasn't finished explaining why about one topic before my brother was asking another question about something else

Haha my daughter is 3 and it has begun. She will ask me a question then ask me a question about my answer! I'm not a teacher but it definitely wasn't annoying when my niece and nephews did this. Because they eventually went home.
My daughter hasn't gotten to the annoying stage yet....

So my son is only 16 months, not dealing with this yet - but I'm wondering, when the infinite questions start and everything is met with "why? Why? Why?", do you think being a teacher makes it easier to deal with? I'm a high school science teacher and take a very "socratic" approach to teaching - I encourage questions on questions on questions, and most of my lessons we move through lots of topics. Anyway - my niece is about 5 now and her non stop questions irritate my sister no end, but I love it and could speak to her forever! Her brain is so open and curious, compared to my students she is a pleasure to interact with.
So I guess I wonder - does it not bother me just cause she's not my kid? When my son starts with the never ending questions will I find it awesome or annoying? Do you think being a teacher makes you better at dealing with the whys?
