So sad.</p> <p>Of course there are rumors going around (small town) that the kids were all playing in the pool by themselves (at 10 am?), makes me so mad that people make this stuff up. </p> <p>The sitter is obviously taking it really hard, heard that she had locked herself in a room and wouldn't come out for anyone. :( LO and I made a card for her and sent it this morning. I feel sooo bad for her, I can't imagine the guilt and what if's and if only's. I just want to rewind to Monday morning and start this week over! (for everyone involved!)<br /> Pool is down. It wasn't an issue and having that many teachers was often helpful.</p> <p>But that blanket incident at your daycare would make me nervous. Can you find out if the teachers that were involved are still at the daycare or not? Yes 4 teachers to 20 kids may sound terrible but think about bathroom breaks. There is always enough hands. She was breaking the law by watching too many children and not following the rules about the pool. Even our licensed day care centres where there are more people working and more supervision don't have that ratio, well depending on the age group I guess. Infants, 1:3, toddlers 1:5, preschool 1:8, and kindergarten-age is 1:12 I believe.
