I worked out 4-5 times a week until 3 days before LO was born and she's an awesome sleeper and wasn't colicky. Im pretty sure I won't have the time to work out as much when I'm pregnant again so I guess I'll see!

I walked regularly up through seven months, but was told to give it a rest to encourage them to stay in longer. DD slept through the night almost right away, DS still has issues, and they had the EXACT same gestational experience.

ROTFLMAO - I did crossfit every other day until my due date and walked stairs for at least 12 hours during labor. Working out made me feel great in pregnancy and I just went with it (modified for pregnancy obviously). My LO turned 1 yesterday and she still doesn't sleep through the night, she had colic, and she does not self soothe. On a good day she will take two 30 min naps. Many days it's one.

Oh god, what if that IS true? Imagine the hellion I was supposed to get.

I worked out 5/6 times per week throughout my pregnancy with LO#1 and he did not STTN until 9 mos, was colicky, and required constant movement to settle. MY husband was convinced that I moved too much and that was why LO needed so much movement. :)

I didn't work out much during pregnancy. I walked a ton because I live in a urban, walking city. LO was a colicky newborn and didn't sleep well until sleep training at 6 months old. He was a non farty, colicky newborn. He needed to learn to fart before the colic issues went away.

bahaha, that app is a liar! :)

I was very active up until the end of my pregnancy and my 10 month old is absolutely not STTN yet!

The only exercise I did was walking during my commute (which could be a couple of miles a day, but very far from a vigorous work out). And LO was not an easy newborn-- terrible napper, only slightly better at night sleep (after a very misleading good first few weeks!), colicky for months 2-4, and still doesn't STTN at almost 7 months.

However, once we got through that colicky phase, and did a little sleep training to help her learn to self sooth, she is a very chill happy baby. She just loves me so much she wants to see me in the middle of the night, not just during the day.

With my first, I worked out 4-5 times a week - it took him 12 months to sleep his first 5 hour stretch. With my second, I didn't work out at all (I had HG and high blood pressure) and she slept 10 hours at 8 weeks.

With #1 I barely worked out at all... I walked sporadically but that's it. He was colicky and a truly horrible sleeper until we sleep trained at 5.5 months.

With #2 I worked out regularly (walked almost every day, did some strength training and yoga) and she hasn't had any colic issues, started sleeping long stretches early and only wakes up once (normally) now at 14 weeks.

It was true for me. She started STTN at 6 months and has always been chill.

Something about them being used to the stimulation but i think it's a crapshoot!

I ran until 19 weeks (3x a week), and walked daily after that until I delivered, plus yoga at least once a week. My kid is 10 months old and just STTN- so....nope.
I think our parenting approaches had more to do with that than anything else though.
she is a super happy baby and hardly ever cries though.

I didn't work out regularly and DS never had any of those issues and nightweaned/sttn 12 hours at 3 months on his own.

This is making me doubt my current 3-5x work out regiment that I hope to keep up in the future with lo2! :O

I worked out regularly (3-4 times a week) up till I delivered and she didn't STTN regularly till 6 months. We sleep trained at 4 months, and she did some between 4-5, but then teething hit and all went to hell.

I did a bit of yoga once a week and walked... and C was a champ as self-soothing and sleeping. Colic... that's a whole other matter. *sigh*

Honestly, sounds like BS to me.

I worked out 2-3 times a week for maybe 5 weeks while pregnant, then gave up altogether because I'm lazy, haha. And Xander was not colicky, could self-soothe right from the get-go, and was STTN (7+ hours) by 10 weeks.

My WTE app said that working out regularly during pregnancy will help your baby STTN sooner, be less prone to colic and better able to soothe themselves.

I worked out/ran 4-5 days a week up to my 9th month when I was pregnant with W and I can say that all of those statements were false for us. I haven't been able to do much this pregnancy (maybe 1-2x/wk), so we'll see how the next one is.
