Started solids: not yet Rolled over: started to roll over in both directions last night (4m3w) Said any words with consonants, baba, dada, mama etc: not yet Greatest joy: his smile and watching him grow/develop! Has your LO: Slept through the night consistently: Did before, hasn't since 3.5 months Started the 4month sleep regression: 3.5 months Started solids; 5 months 1 week Rolled over: 4 months 3 weeks Said any words with consonants, baba, dada, mama etc: not yet, but it always sounds like she is saying hhheeeeeyyyy. Greatest joy: Seeing her smile. I've had one four/five-hour stretch ever since she was born. She's still up at least three and usually four to five times a night. On the upside, she's quick to go back down. And she's actually really good at going down at the beginning of the night or for naps. Started the 4month sleep regression: I'll say no, only because she was and remains a less than awesome sleeper ;) Started solids: Nope - we plan to wait until six months. As of now she's only ever had breastmilk and Vitamin D. Oh, except for when my MIL tried to give her some of her blueberry sweet tea (wtf?) Rolled over: Yes! She first rolled over at 1.5 months because she was so angry about tummy time that she flailed until she rolled. Two weeks ago she rolled over from her back to her tummy for the first time, and yesterday she started rolling around on purpose for a reaction from Daddy or to avoid that evil Mama trying to dress her! Said any words with consonants, baba, dada, mama etc: Nope, just vowels. Her most recent verbal trick is shrieking at church with a big grin on her face. Greatest joy: Feeling like we've really gotten to know one another and getting to a stage where I truly enjoy nursing her and cuddling feels mutual. That and baby giggles! Biggest struggle: She's such a sweet and curious girl, and I love her tons and tons of course, but man, I miss sleeping and wish she'd nap longer so I could be more productive or have a little downtime. For about two weeks, during the end of my maternity leave, she would sleep for 8 hours, nurse briefly and do another 4 hours. This all went right out the window after I went back to work. Started the 4month sleep regression: Yes; it hit just before 4 months (see above). The pediatrician said it could also have to do with my going back to work and/or her eczema, which makes her itchy. She's always squirming around in her swaddle trying to free her hands to scratch. Started solids: Nope, not yet. Rolled over: Nope. DH says she's trying, but I haven't seen any evidence of this! Maybe she only practices for him. Said any words with consonants, baba, dada, mama etc: No, but she does make a lot of sounds and, like @fancyfunction, seems to say "Hi!" a lot. Greatest joy: Seeing her smile and becoming more interactive; watching DH with her (he takes care of her full-time during most of the week); weekend snuggle time. Started solids; Not yet - maybe we'll try in a month or so, otherwise we'll wait til 6 mo. Rolled over: A lot of front to back, trying the last few days to go back to front and she's almost got it Said any words with consonants, baba, dada, mama etc: Not real words but she'll try to mimic what you say and I swear I heard her say "hi" a couple of times ;) Greatest joy: Seeing her light up in a smile when she sees me and breaking out into giggles. Being fortunate to stay home with her and see her discover new things. I have a feeling this is the start of trouble! He hates being on his tummy! So everyone... Waking up every hour! Started solids; not yet, been doing some research and bought a few. Will probably start at 6mo. He drinks prune juice for constipation. Rolled over: Yes! Today was the first time. Said any words with consonants, baba, dada, mama etc: we swear we heard him say mama over the weekend but otherwise still no consonants. Greatest joy: being home to see the milestones, knowing he trusts and loves daddy and I. Biggest struggle; not knowing why he's upset sometimes, lack of naps, constipation! It seems so painful for him.
