This thread is long and has lots of deleted posts in it, so the thread count is getting confused... MamaG created a new thread, so we'll close this one. Here's the link to the new thread!

@MamaG: Actually, Mr. Bee can fix that when it happens. It's just a thread count issue and happens all the time. If you see it happen again (here, or anywhere else), just put a post in the help for him to fix it! I usually just say something like "Thread Count Issue for the following thread: thread link. Page/replies are messed up." And he fixes it immediately.

Okay ladies, I think it's time to start a new thread. I think we are breaking HB :( Consistently, when we turn to a new page I can't get the latest comment to load. Like right now I'm stuck on pg 391 with Mrs F comment, but on the boards page it tells me there is a new comment from josina. And the only "fix" is to post another comment to get the page to flip. (first world problem, but it makes me grumpy in the AM!). I'm happy to start up another.

@winniebee: E is the opposite and doesn't say yes yet. Its funny b/c whenever Mickey asks a question on the show he says 'unh uh'
@MrsF: Thanks, good appt. and heartbeat of 160.

@whenoceansrise: Yay! Good luck with TTC  Maybe we'll be lucky enough to be on another due date board together again

@josina: I hope your appointment went well!

@winniebee: I would say that DH, myself and our nanny are pretty much the only ones who know what J is saying. We were with my parents today and I had to interpret almost every single word. FWIW our EI therapist seems to think it's normal.

@winniebee: He will surprise you! K only sleeps on our bed at home, but she proves to be an excellent napper at school, on a mat, goes to sleep by herself without binky or blankie! And she did the same at my in-law's!

I think we're going to cut off the tips to her binkies come 9/1....

@MamaG: Ty definitely had his first explosion around 19-20 months, and Ryan just turned 20 months. I remember Ty could sing the ABCs at a vacation when he was 21 months, but of course maybe my memory is a little fuzzy as to how well he sang it ;) I won't send him in the sleep sack to school - just with his puppy lovey! I wanted to paci wean him before school started but now we're less than a month away. We have a vacation leading right up until school so I feel like it either needs to be done in the next few weeks or wait until December. I'm just wondering if letting him have it at nap time for the first few months at school will help him start napping there? And then wean it over the Christmas break? I'm sure it will all be fine but I'm just nervous he wont' nap at school!

@winniebee: I feel like Kaylee is behind in speech but Chloe had her explosion between 22-23 months. Kaylee's words aren't the most understandable either. I get more than even DH. Kaylee turns 21 months next week so I know its coming. Her daycare hasn't been concerned and typically is pretty complimentary on her speech so I try to go with that.

As to the transition to school for Ryan, he will surprise you. Kaylee has been on a cot and without a pacifier at daycare for so long. She started cot sleeping at 10.5 months and dropped her pacifier right at a year. She's still in the crib at home and we kept the pacifier until 18 months!

How does school feel about the sleep sack? Will they let him use it? Ours won't. Kaylee has a blanket and stuffed animal, just like at home. Her naps are shorter than what I like (at home too!) at about 1.5 hours. I'm also not sure that daycare would let us have a pacifier at this age either :bummed:

I'm pro weaning the pacifier and it was easy with both of my girls though I dreaded it both times.

@winniebee: Ethan's way behind these girls also, but saying new words everyday, enough that I don't keep track anymore.
BeBe = blanket, and freezy (popsicle).
MeMe = mickey, and movie.
He answers Unh Unh a lot, and is really good at NO!
His words are too cute. ;)

Hope his new school goes well! Ethan just started sleeping on a cot at daycare and he does fine. No tips on the paci since E never took one.

I feel like Ryan is still pretty behind in the speech dept. He has around 50 words but half of them are probably only understood by me and the nanny! He can kind of count to 10 and knows the color blue though :)

I'm getting so nervous for him to start his school. He'll nap there 3x a week and is such a good sleeper at home....he's never slept in anything but a crib in a sleep sack. How is he going to sleep on a cot?! And do I wean him from the pacifier first or wait until Christmas break??

@snowjewelz: @MamaG: Yeah - I've pretty much given up on keeping things out of his mouth. Even my almost 4yo puts things in her mouth. There's plenty of research that says this is how we build a strong immune system and that all of the avoidance is giving our kids more issues.

That being said, J has a bad cold and I was up for hours last night just holding him upright so that he could breathe and sleep. Whomp whomp.

@snowjewelz: @FaithFertility: The good news is all those little germies are building immune systems. C has such a great immune system now and the days of the under 2 or 3 "daycare" sick are hard but they pay off :) It does suck for them to be off, but it really does pay off later.
