The most annoying part is that I forgot how long you have to let the eggs sit in the colored dye water to get good color. Of course E just wanted to dunk, and dunk, and dunk and didn’t really want to wait the several minute period to get good color on the eggs. But, it worked for us to have her put eggs in each of the cups, leave the table and play for a few minutes and then “check on the eggs” to see if they were ready. She also put some stickers on them once they were dyed, but she wasn’t as into stickers back then. Of course lots of newspaper/towels down just in case. She had more fun coloring the eggs and then we would dip them and she could see her "artwork" that stayed white while the rest of the egg went to a color. We skipped it last year, but now he's almost 2 and I think he would get a kick out of it. But I'm trying to think of the best way to do this! Realistically, if I try to get him to do things the traditional way he is just going to want to dump out the containers of dye.</p> <p>Any tricks or tips? How does your toddler help decorate eggs? Stickers? Markers (if that's safe - I'm not sure?) Something else? </p>
