Aw thanks everyone. They monitored me on the machine for about two hours. About 40 minutes in she started moving around like her regular self again. They also did a BBP (?) sonogram and she scored a 10/10!

Glad I went because I feel better now. But feel bad we woke LO up and she didn't go back to bed till almost 1am. I guess in the bright side when I do go into labor the hospital won't be as new of a experience for her? Poor girl was really worried about me! But she was so good the whole time and we told her she was being a really good big sister!

@locavore_mama: Yep I had all my NST at the hospital. I think I had about 7 of them. Super easy they just put the HB monitor around you belly and you lay there for like 20 minutes. The monitors\computers will count everything. There needs to be a certain amount of HB accelerations for the baby to pass. If she did not pass they would give me some juice and wait a bit to see if she would cooperate and if needed do an ultrasound.

You know your body and baby. If you are at all worried I'd say better to call. And a NST would be very easy for an ER to do to verify all is well.

I would call the doctor or nurse and let them know. Decreased movement could be a sign of low fluid. My younger son's c section was moved up two weeks because of low fluid. I was getting weekly ultrasounds because of GD. My fluid went down from around a level of 10 to 6 in a couple of weeks. The next week it was 1.7 - the doc said below 5 is bad. Anyway, she said that if I weren't getting the ultrasounds we would have known by me letting her know about decreased movement which I did notice that last week.

@locavore_mama: I had a NST w Olivia for same reasons. They put a monitor on you and you click the button when you feel kicks. Then they did an ultrasound for me! Super easy & relaxing actually haha.

@locavore_mama: I'm noticing more sleep patterns now (I'm 34+6) so I don't quite panic with lack of movement the way I would have say, five weeks ago.

I'm also in the camp of if you're worried, then call.

I had a few scares with Chloe & they also recommended I drink something (usually orange juice) and count 10 kicks in one hour. Once I went in for a NST, and don't you know the little bugger wiggled the entire time!

Weird question.

So I noticed today baby hasn't been as active and I haven't really felt her move. When she is generally very active and has been slower last week or so. Which being 36 + 3 is normal.

Anyway, I was a little concerned so I chugged a glass of cold juice. I laid down and within the first 10 minutes I felt movements. I counted about 9. But now she is all calm again. It's been about another 10 minutes.

Everything I'm reading online is saying 10 in 2 hours is good. And I got almost that in 10 minutes. But I kinda feel like I don't typically drink juice so I would think a full glass would keep her quite active for longer than 10 minutes?

Thoughts?
