Thanks all! I had NST on Saturday and fluid checked then. Baby was slow to move and I needed to eat candy! Fluid there was plenty and nice pockets so doctor wasn't worried. I guess I have just been like hyper alert since my Saturday spot and while she is moving it just isn't as prominent or frequent as it was before! So I'm pausing to reflect on it more than maybe I should. 38 weeks 3 days today and I'm getting thumped just less often!

I had the same issue around 38 weeks, 5 days. I was worried so I went in for a check. The baby was fine, but I had low amniotic fluid, so they admitted me and induced labor.

Can't hurt to ask your doctor. At 34 weeks my doctor sent me for a non-stress test because I noticed decreased movement. Everything was fine but it gave me peace of mind. From then on until being induced 10 days late the movement was varied; sometimes little to no movement and other times so much movement it was painful.

@Nskillet: there's definitely less room for baby to move around at this point but always call if you're concerned!

@Nskillet: I think only you know what's normal for your baby and if you feel like something is off, then I'd see if your doctor wants you to go to L&D just to get monitored. It's no big deal and at least you'll know baby is okay. I did that at around 35 weeks due to lack of movement, and my dr wanted to make sure my fluid was okay and other stuff I don't remember. They hooked me up to a doppler and tracked her for about 90 minutes. It was painless and I left knowing that she was okay, had just been lazy that day:)

ETA: I reread your post and I can't tell if you're worried or just stating the facts, so I'm sorry if I caused alarm or misinterpreted it. Initially I read it as you were a little worried about lack of movement?

I'm feelings pokes and prods but not the sweeping motion I did before and I'm not sure 10/hour. I think my doctor wants 3 times per day kick counting but it's definitely less lately.

Anyone else?
