With our student ID we got free admission, and we all basiclaly gained about 10 extra pounds during Fair Week. We looked forward to it every year. Deep Fried Oreos...my FAVORITE. I took Hubs a few years ago and he loved it. I have heard it's the biggest and most heart attack-inducing of all the state fairs, and I love sampling the ridiculous, deep fried concoctions! Each year they have a contest for the best new food creation, and this year's finalists include chicken fried cactus bites and fried bacon cinnamon rolls, both of which I will be sampling. (Don't worry, you can get deep fried salad if you are a health nut!) Is anyone else a state fair lover? Do you have a favorite fair/carnival food? </p>
