A four year old to me is not a toddler but a three year old is. My son is about a week away from 11 months but he is walking really well since nine months and very interactive so he feels like a toddler already but I think a real toddler is when they can communicate and even manipulate you very well and you can start to think about teaching them discipline. Nor like a guiless baby. Older DD is turning 4 in october and I still refer to her as a toddler, because I don't really know what else to call her! She is not a baby and she is *not* a kid! </p>
