Well ... it looks like all of your LOs showed signs of separation anxiety after 11 months. I guess it's probably in store for us soon.

@autumnlove: Did it last longer than a week?

@cascademom: Good luck with having DS stay with your folks around Christmas. It must be frustrating having it come in waves. Just when you think he's over it ...

@mediagirl: Two week of hell! OMG. It must have been wretched for both of you.

@mui831: That sad face must make it so hard for you to drop him off at daycare.

DS is 12 months and is just starting on this super clingy phase and only wants me. It takes him awhile to go to my parents who he used to be obsessed with. Luckily he doesn't freak out when I leave him at daycare (yet?) but he follows me out and watches me leave with a sad face. Breaks my heart

For us, it comes in waves. When he was really small, it was pretty bad around 3-4 months. It got better for awhile, then it came back. Lately, it's been bad at 15 months. We're having him stay with my parents for a few days after Christmas. It's going to be rough, but maybe it'll help with it.

My DS is 11 months old. He has been regularly going to daycare since 6 months and is sometimes watched by my mother or MIL. So far he has never shown signs of separation anxiety. I'm not complaining - it would break my heart if he started crying when I left him with someone else. I'm just wondering if anyone else's LO either never displayed separation anxiety or did so (maybe even worse) at a late age. Am I in for monumental screaming and wailing when I drop him off at daycare in a few months?
