I had the oral surgeon clear all the meds and local anesthesia with my ob. My OB approved it and everything I read said in the second trimester it was no big deal. My endodontist was never concerned about it- I had whatever they use that's not Novocaine for the procedure. The only thing they did different was to give me 2 vests to wear for the x-rays. They had to remove the old metal ones and replace with white (new office only does white). The only issue I encountered was my dentist needing a clearance from my OB/GYN office. The poor dentist told me that if I went into labour she was calling an ambulance :-)</p> <p>I also had routine dental work done in my first trimester and had no issues.
