So if you want to TTC immediately, I don't think it's a good option. </p> <p>You may want to look into the ring or the patch, if those are still viable BC options (I've either had an IUD in or been pregnant for the past 8 years, so my info might be out of date). As far as I know, those are just like the pill in that your cycle returns to normal almost immediately after coming off. I had a light period for the first three months. When I went back in they told me that happens sometimes and I should do another injection and it would regulate itself. I continue to have a light period for the next three months after which they told me that that still happens with some people but it should stop with the next injection. It did not. So I had AF for nine months straight. It was terrible. Everyone reacts differently and I have a friend that literally waited a year and a half for her period to appear after being on it.<br /> The combo pill is pretty forgiving. I a few times had to wait until morning to take it and never had an issue. My top option is the depo shot right now. I’m not good about taking pills at the same time every day and don’t want to deal with an IUD for only 7 months. I’m also considering just using condoms (even though I don’t want to) because I’m worried about the other options messing with my cycle.</p> <p>Any positive/negative experiences with the depo shot? </p>
