@Mrsdaredevil: in the pin I provided, she has mainly white frames with one pop of color - you COULD try that if you feel brave enough. Maybe include one of the colors in your LR?

haha you're welcome!! I love my freebies board lol!

personally, I wouldn't do black frames. It might be the one color I wouldn't do IMO

@Coco Bee: Oh a gallery wall is already in the process.... thanks to the freebies board on your Pinterest! Hahaha seriously, you did all the work for me. I have already printed six pieces for the gallery wall! I just can't decide if I should do white frames, black frames, a mix of colors, or what. My initial instinct is to spray paint frames in variety of colors but that always ends up being too much, and I don't want the dining room to look busy! Ahhhh I can't pull the trigger...

Oh girl - you got style!! seriously gray is like my favorite decorating neutral EVER. I want a grey, yellow and turquoise/robins egg blue LR next time we move...

White is such a great neutral - I think it would look gorgeous in the dining room.

I like the idea bree72 posted too. Some beautiful colored frames would be awesome - like a gallery wall?

I think white frames would pop and go nicely with the wainscoting. Black might look too dark but it depends how much light comes through there.

Looove the chaise lounge, by the way!

Black frames and the slate color on your dining nook walls would actually look really good together! It would look more subtle than white frames and allow the art to take center stage. You could also tie in the warm accent colors from your living room for flow...they'll really pop in that room!

@Leialou: so even though the frames and furniture in the living room are black, white would look okay in the dining room?

I think white frames would work, especially if that is what you like. I mix frames in pretty much every room. I think greens and yellows would look nice in the dining room and wouldn't clash with your living room.

We just repainted our dinette a dark gray color, so as of now the walls are completely bare. I really need to figure something out for wall decor and maybe some curtains on the slider.

I could use some help! I don't want the colors to clash with the living room it is attached to, but I also want it to be its own room. I am attracted to white frames for the dinette because of the white wanescottting on the bottom half of the wall, but everything in the living room Is black. I don't want it to not match!!

Here is a pic of the living room and the blank dinette would love opinions!!
