I'd want to feel anchored.

My desk is in the middle jutting out from the wall. My window is behind me and the door is in front of me. I tried the desk agaibst tge wall but it was depressing and under the wibdow was distracting.

DH wanted to have his desk in the middle of the room in his new office. I said no, it needed to go against the wall. I think that it needs to be a big room to be floating. Plus the cords hanging down would drive me crazy. He isn't neat enough to have it be the main focus of the room. If you can hide cords, can keep the desk clean and not cluttered, and have the room, then go for it!

I can't seem to figure out where the desk should go in my office at home. There are two walls I can put it against, but I don't like either - along one wall I'd be right up in front of a window where the neighbors can see me, while along the other I'd be facing away from everything interesting in the room. I've always had the desk in the middle of the room so I could see out all a lot of windows and into the sun room but no one could see me...but I don't like the floating feeling.

Would you rather have the nicer view or feeling anchored in?
