I haven't tried them, but there are lots of gluten & dairy free cobbler and crisp recipes like this one: http://minimalistbaker.com/simple-blackberry-cobbler-vegan-gf/

Two of my close friends are dairy free (MSPI mamas) and one is also gluten free. I make these King Arthur Flour brownies all the time for them (there are instructions on box to be dairy free in addition to GF) and they are so good! I like them better than all the other brownie mixes at the supermarket.

@autumnleaves: really any gf flour should work. With almond flour I'm not sure - it might make it sweeter so you might want to cut back on the sugar.

I just made these Monday for my daughter's daycare and they were GF and DF.
Fanta Cupcakes
2 1/2c gf flour
1 1/3c sugar
4 eggs
1 tbs gf baking powder
Vanilla aroma (just very little)
Orange aroma or orangeskin peel
1c oil
1c orange lemonade (hence fanta cupcakes/muffins)

Whisk everything but the flour and baking powder together then slowly add those two ingredients in. Portion and bake for 20' at 370.

The gas in the carbonated lemonade makes it nice and fluffy which is otherwise always a little tricky when baking GF.

Check out the brand Hail Merry. They have great allergy friendly desserts! Especially their lemon tarts. I was obsessed with them when DD was MSPI while breastfeeding.

@autumnleaves: Regular marshmallows are fine, but beware of the rice krispies. I think the name brand has malt in them. You can find alternatives at Whole Foods.

rice krispy squares (or carrot shaped) and use coconut oil instead of butter. My gluten free/dairy free friends love it. they also made black bean brownies which were tasty.

I've made the carrot cake recipe from Gimme Some Oven, and it is delicious! My kids love it, and it's fairly simple to make. Your best bet will probably be home made. Whole Foods will sometimes carry vegan baked goods (only specific stores have it) but not gluten free and vegan from my experience. Gluten free items are made in a separate facility and usually found in the frozen aisle.

Cherrybrook Kitchen and Enjoy Life make vegan and gluten free boxed mixes. Cherrybrook is just okay, and I haven't tried Enjoy Life because it's really pricey.

A lot of my gluten free friends really enjoy wacky cake! I actually really like it too, it's a moist chocolate cake. I can't remember if there's milk in it but you can always sub for soy/almond milk.

We are throwing my friend a baby shower with a peter rabbit/garden theme and she is on a gluten free dairy free diet. Does anyone have recommendations for desserts - from scratch or store bought cake mixes or store bought cakes (maybe Whole Foods)? I am thinking of making a gluten free/dairy free carrot cake or vanilla cupcakes but I have no experience with this and want to try to find a good recipe or cake mix for the cake and the frosting. I'm also open to brownies or a something other than cake but I don't want it to be super sweet. Thanks for your help.
