I am cheating a bit because a starter month is under $100, but future months (or more likely every other month) will be outside of that, or so I reasoned. We will keep it if we love it. Luckily he sent me a list of things this year...<br /> His 'big' gift was a hunting blind, but he also is getting a Yeti coffee mug, a silicone wedding ring (safer for work), the Garth Brooks Anthology part III, and a small bottle of Titos Vodka. I got him a Pendleton shirt he's wanted for years ($100)... a drawing set (one of his hobbies) ($45), a UCLA sweatshirt he has wanted for a while ($40) and a new suitcase because he's been borrowing my mom's for ages now ($60)... oh, and a Dobby Plush (see pic) ($20). So, yeah... I actually went WAY over budget. I’m running out of time and also ideas within budget for DH’s gift. Over the past weeks, I have looked through so many gift guides for ideas and I have just spent the last 2 hours on my latest idea (a clothing item that he has been talking about), but I’ve concluded that it would be 3x the budget we set (which is $100). He is usually so ridiculously easy to shop for because he likes lots of “things”: kitchen, tools, techie gadgets, clothes and food. I think the trouble this year is that either I’ve done good in certain categories (kitchen, tools, gadgets) and the other categories (clothing, food) are a challenge due to him having some weight issues and needing to get healthy. On the healthy theme, I’ve considered a Fitbit but I’m not sure if he’d really like it, though it might be a back-up plan. My other backup idea is RL cologne which he hasn’t worn in ages but I think he was trying to hint at it awhile back. Just would feel bad if he was not into it and I misread him! </p> <p>I really love giving gifts and I get really into finding something that is a sure winner. I just don’t feel like I’m finding it this year! If you struggled to pick out a gift this year (or even if you haven’t) what are your SO/DH’s getting? Maybe there are some obvious things I haven’t thought of! </p>
