@Mrs Hedgehog: my DH was freaked out once I started dilating too. He was even more freaked out that DTD could get labor started. He didn't want to know that that's how his daughter came into the world. Weirdo.

@Sugar.Biscuit: hahaha, hilarious!

I can't remember the last time we DTD...I think it was in May? My husband said he isn't comfortable now that he knows who is in there. :sad:

It's been too long. Maybe my midwife can drop a better hint than I can the closer to labor I get.

We stopped DTD a month or so before my due date :( He just thought it was too much to feel her moving and stuff while we were busy. That plus being a week overdue and 6 week pp was way too long without it. :(

@Bookworm: AHAHA I think my husband is totally annoyed I just want to have sex to get the baby out!

I think I feel more uncomfortable about DTD than my husband. It just isn't that much fun anymore!

Haha DH didn't want to DTD for the last few weeks either, but I made him lol! I think he was more pissed that I wanted to use sex to get the baby out; he thought it meant I didn't want him anymore :p

LOL i'm embarrassed to say my DH felt the same way. He was also afraid to "poke" her. He refused to DTD the last few weeks after I told him the Dr. checked my cervix and said he was able to feel the baby's head.

Oh that made me laugh. As if a glob is going to land on her head and he'll see it when she comes out. Having said that, dtd is so uncomfortable now that I would totally go along with it if my DH said that!

Women who've had babies before often remain a bit dilated and it's really a non-issue. There's a bag of waters protecting your baby from anything, so unless that breaks (in which case you'll be headed to the hospital/ birthing place, not DTD), he can't "get anything on her!"

Well it's not like he's going to get any on her... There IS an amniotic sac between him and her! Lol

We just found out this afternoon that I am 2 cm dilated. We had just been talking about how much DTD would help us get closer to going into labor. DH now refuses to because since I am partially dilated, it is just "too close for comfort". What worries him the most is the, uhm, end result of DTD. Esp since we found out that that is actually the important part! It isn't necessarily all the movement. The idea of doing all that and "getting it on her" freaks him out. Which, when you put it that way, I kinda get.

I was looking forward to some fun and, well, useful DTD and now its no more until well after she is born!

Is he the only one who freaked about that?
