She ended up getting it on both forearms. It was never anything serious. It's been there for like 10 years. It hurts if I bump it, but otherwise is just there. It's quite large and clearly visible, and it's hard to the touch. It doesn't move around, but if he pushes on it hard enough (and I mean REALLY hard with his knuckles) it diminishes in size. It's weird. It wasn't really stuck. I ended up getting mine removed because it was actually attached to a nerve and was really painful, but apparently that's not super common. If it hadn't been painful I think they might have just told me to ignore it and leave it there unless it became a real nuisance. He is making a second appointment with a dr to have it looked at but in the mean time he is freaking out and googling doesn't help at all.</p> <p>DH has a lump under the skin on the inside of his forearm, maybe 3-4 inches in from his wrist. It's somewhere between the size of a pea and marble and is hard. It doesn't seem to hurt unless he messes with it, it isn't red or discolored, and it doesn't itch. </p> <p>He saw a doctor at his job (Drs from local hospitals rotate through a medical center at his work) and basically the Dr told him he isn't sure what it is, "it could be anything, possibly cancer". He gave him the number to a hand Dr to make an appointment in a few weeks if it's still there. The mention of the word cancer has DH extremely worried. I wasn't there but from what DH says it doesn't seem as though this Dr is very good. </p> <p>Has anyone had (or known of someone who had) a similar lump? Did a Dr give a diagnosis? </p> <p>I understand this is the internet and we will seek advice from the new Dr but I figured it didn't hurt to ask. </p>
