Kind of like booth rental at a salon. Also doing mini shows &amp; have ladies nights are huge where we are. I completely believe that people get caught up in money, benefits of a job and don't realize that those things aren't worth working a job that is killing your spirit slowly. I have this daydream of opening a home decor store one day - we live in a town that has an adorable main street with lots of nice indepently owned retail shops. Mostly because of the fear of the unknown. I've gotten a lot better about encouraging him to do what he wants, which is to research &amp; study. He is currently designing a computer program at work which can make a huge impact on the companies efficiency in data collection. This could save them from having to hire two new employees. That's big Dill kinda stuff (inside joke) &amp; he has no real formal training other than a few computer classes he took several years ago. I have a decent job &amp; have been there almost 10 years. I have free health insurance, they DOUBLE my retirement, I work M-F 8-4, have all major holidays off, earn 208 hrs vacation &amp; sick leave a year and have only been denied a day off once. (this is long winded but keep reading there is a point to it)</p> <p>That is a package that is really hard to walk away from. If all goes as planned and they allow us to become partners I plan on continuing to work with my current job as long as I can until the bakery is able to replace my current income and benefits. </p> <p>What got me really considering this was my best friend. She turned down a job at the state pen where she could have been making $17/hr as a CO &amp; took a position at a wild bird store instead. Birds are her passion. She ended up starting at $10/hr (which is still more than what she was getting at her previous job) &amp; was assistant manager with in 2 weeks. She is the happiest I have ever seen her. </p> <p>To many people get so caught up in making a living that they forget how to live life. Few months ago I was diagnosed w/ a wheat allergy &amp; have been mostly GF sense then. At the same time we had a local GF bakery open up. I contacted them to teach me how to cook/bake GF &amp; for a PT eveing job (more as a hobby). Things got crazy busy &amp; they understood. when I went in the other day they requested that I get my application in so they can hire me :-)</p> <p>I was ecstatic! DH &amp; I have thought about asking them if we could become partners &amp; help open a second store. I've always been to scared to follow through on anything I have been passionate about because I usually end up having to give it up because I am to busy taking care of my husband. I told DH the other day that I want to have the spark &amp; passion that he has with his job.</p> <p>Tonight after things had settled after my surgery DH said he had a gift for me. He gave me a bottle of Credence by Jason Moore that he ordered special just for me :-) The story behind it is that Jason found a vineyard that let him hand pick their second crop &amp; he then made the wine in his garage. Thanks to Naked Angels for providing the funding he was then able to make his dreams come true. </p> <p>DH wrote this in the card, Dreams can come happen so let's toast to the _____ _____ south location. </p> <p>I am going in to talk with the owners next week!
