I say this every night. If i don't stop myself, I'll just keep going! I have to, at some point, say i've done enough for the day and just relax a little.

Haha I feel that way most of the time, and I don't even have a child yet! My husband cooks dinner most of the time because if it were up to me we'd eat takeout most of the time!

I've had days where Ive said that to DH. I think, even as parents, we have days where we're tapped out. I had one last Friday. C was super cranky and driving me nuts and I panic-called DH to see when he was going to be home from work, which I haven't done in months. She got handed over to him as soon as he got home and I retreated into the kitchen to make dinner and gather myself.

I'm the person who said I was done at 5 when dh came home yesterday :) I was exhausted, up since 430 as a side effect from my meds, I'm pregnant and achy and hormonal, and lo and my dog were being awful all day. After los third time out from hitting and kicking my pup, I had a breakdown and cried. And lo thought me crying was so funny and laughed, which made me cry more and her laugh more. I texted dh throughout the day to tell him what was happening, so he already knew when he came home he was taking over. Usually I watch lo while dh settles in, changes, walks the dog, etc. But not yesterday.... I sat my tushy on the computer and he did everything with lo. He offered to go to dinner so I could stay home and relax, but I felt bad taking him up on that since I already got a little break, and tonight I have water zumba so hell be in charge again.

Haha, DH decided to take leave from work this week because he'd just come off an insanely hectic work cycle. Seeing as I'm just coming to the end of the first trimester (still tired) and working full time, he took charge of the deep clean before our rental inspection tomorrow. It's taken him three days because he "needs breaks".... Awww bless

Part of me totally agrees and part of me laughs at the mere idea that there is such a thing as "doing enough" now that we're parents. As it we get to clock out at 5pm.

To give credit where credit is due, I woke DH up at 4 to take over sick baby duty. When I woke at 8 he was quietly playing with LO. He took the day off so I could work from home since I took yesterday off. He fed her bottles, gave her medicine, changed about 8 poopy diapers, got her to nap, and made a salad for dinner.

I'm hoping all that was enough for LO. It was enough for me!
