I also have IC, and I did not take any meds/get any treatments done during my pregnancy. My symptoms were pretty bad during the first trimester, but went almost completely away during the second and third trimesters. My IC symptoms came back a couple of weeks after I had DS. I am now ttc baby number 2, but my doctor does not want to do any treatments until i either have a second baby, or put off ttc until treatments are done- I have decided to ttc instead. I have done DMSO in the past with some success though. When I was pregnant with DS, my doctor did assure me that my IC was not hurting the baby at all, which made the pain more bearable. Good luck with everything.

@stargal: I'm sorry you're going through that, but very happy to hear your pregnancy & birth weren't effected by it.

Right now, my symptoms are like a UTI ... I start DMSO next week. I've already made all of the diet changes, so I'm hoping the next step gets me back to feeling like myself.

Thanks for the feedback! :)

Yes I have ic. With my pregnancy I couldn't take any meds that I was on and I was OK. Labor was fine didn't hurt and.for about 4 months pp I felt completely normal! Now my ic back and.I'm get monthly dsmo treatments :( I think pregnancy NAD labor actually helped my ic symptoms for some reason!
What are your symptoms and treatment with it right now?

Yesterday, my urologist diagnosed with with IC (a bladder condition that mimics the symptoms of a UTI without the bacteria). We're still actively TTC, but now I'm concerned about going through a pregnancy (really nervous about the birth). I've dreamed of a natural, home birth, and I worry the pain with labor AND IC will be too much. Anyone have experience with this?
