I was feeling pressure and tons of Braxton hicks so they checked me at 36 weeks and I was 2 cm. 3cm at 37 weeks and 4 cm at 38 weeks and I delivered that night. Same at 38w when I had to be induced for IUGR. I didn't have a cervical exam before 36w so not sure if I was dilated before then. </p> <p>With my first I was 1cm and 50% from 30w on and was on bed rest til 37w. Each week I'd go in and the OB would say probably this weekend. I went from a 3 to a 3.5 to a 4. Ended up going 6 days past my due date. Water broke around 6am and didn't deliver until 8pm. She ended up going past her due date and was pretty grouchy about it. It's part of the reason why I wouldn't even let them check me until 39 weeks!</p> <p>ETA: I was checked at 39w, and I was completely closed with zero progression. I found out yesterday that I'm already 3 cm dialted. Just curious if anyone has found out the same type of info and how long it was before they went into labor. I know you can hang out at 3 cm for weeks and that it doesn't mean much - I'm just curious as to other people's experiences. With my first child, I found out I was 3 cm dialted at 38w4d and had my son the next afternoon...</p> <p>FWIW, I'm scheduled for a c-section at 39w4d so i'm just being impatient :) </p>
