LO2 has diaper issues, and his skin is more sensitive than his brother. We went through a lot of brands, and Earth's Best has been the best for his bum. Looking back on it, I think his diaper issue might be due to his food allergies. I try to keep up with his food diary to make a connection. Most recently I noticed that corn might have been the culprit for really bad stool that burns his bum on contact.

We used pampers swadlers since birth at at 4 months, she developed a rash that would not go away no matter what kind of ointment, oatmeal baths, etc.

Switched to the 7th Generation brand and went away the next day! Haven't looked back since.

My baby had reacted to diapers and wipes. We are doing cloth wipes or water wipes (you can buy them at target). I really like the water wipes. For diapers we cloth diaper (planned on that early on). But we can tolerate honest diapers and grovia biosoakers in moderation. She needs a break between sposies (so sposie then a clothy). She also cannot do stay dry cloth and only cotton. She's a bit rough but it is working.

I actually had horrible reactions to every disposable diaper my mom bought when I was an infant. To this day I can't wear most kinds of pads and even ones that are "better" make my skin red and raw after a few days (sorry if that was TMI!). My mom eventually just went to cloth diapers because literally everything disposable gave me a rash to some degree. Cloth worked perfectly.

Seventh generation diapers worked for us. I would suggest using cloth wipes with warm water instead of disposable wipes whenever possible.

I could also only use aquaphor - no other ointments.

Switch just one first and I'd say wipes. They have a ton of stuff in them. Maybe just do damp soft paper towel.

Are you using Swaddlers? My lo is really sensitive and we used swaddlers (pampers) and pampers sensitive wipes (which they use in the NICU) and then eventually switched to Kirkland brand wipes.

Pampers give my daughter a rash. Normally we use gDiapers with the disposable insert. For regular disposables, we use Naty by Nature Babycare. We are in the U.S. right now and using Babyganics and she hasn't had any irritation problems. What about using water wipes? Or just cut up a flannel receiving blanket and using that with water when it's just pee, and gentle wipes for poo?

Are you using wipes for pee? I've heard that they're unnecessary at that age. We only wipe for soiled diapers, and DS is rash free. Also, if you aren't able to find a disposable wipe that works for your LO, would you consider cloth wipes? We had so many baby facecloths going unused, but when DS had his first diaper rash (from teething), I started using those with water instead of the Pampers Sensitive wipes I'd been using. We still use Pampers wipes for outings, but I may switch fully to cloth.

ETA: we cloth diaper, too, but have used Pampers Sensitive, Huggies Pure and Natural and Honest diapers when travelling long distance (on airplanes) and at night. DS doesn't have sensitivities that we are aware of, but I haven't used any other brands to find out. Good luck! I hate hearing of babies in pain or discomfort.

DS has pretty sensitive skin and got a contact allergy/rash from the Pampers Swaddlers they used at the hospital. We were planning on using Honest anyway (I have really sensitive skin so thought there'd be a good chance he would too), so we use Honest diapers/wipes and he hasn't had a reaction to them in the 11.5 months we've been using them.

We use the Up&Up sensitive wipes and they work very well for us. We couldn't use Huggies diapers/wipes at all because they affected my allergies, but Pampers Swaddlers and Up&Up diapers were our go-to brands for disposables. If all else fails, you could try cloth diapering. A friend of mine had to do this when here daughter's skin was reacting to every disposable diaper out there.

@MrsH: @Bao: yeah definitely try another brand of unscented. We used the target unscented wipes before we got a Costco membership and had no issues.

If it's bad you might try just wet paper towels or clothes for several days until the rash gets better. C had such a bad rash (I don't think it was only the wipes, we were traveling and she had some diarrhea too) and we just did water and paper towels for a while and it seemed to help. So sad when it hurts them!

C had a reaction to pampers baby dry diapers when she was very little, but swaddlers were fine so we stuck with them for a while. Now she uses the baby dry with no issue whatsoever.

She also still gets irritated from pampers sensitive wipes so I never use those. I have a pack that I am still using up that I'll use for hands or face after the playground or whatever, and even that if I use them too much she gets a little red. We like the Kirkland wipes, but she hasn't had a reaction to any besides pampers sensitive.
