I had similar issues with my purse bags, and did also have things dump, but thankfully not into a river. I too was looking for purses I could use as diaper bags, and then I actually did get a diaper bag. I call it my purse and have trained DH to call it my purse too. :) It's the skip hop studio. I figured I would discover what I needed and then buy one.<br /> Well, LO is 3.5 months and I still haven't bought a diaper bag.<br /> I used a mini utility tote from 31 and didn't keep using it because nothing zipped shut. (8"length x 6.5"tall x 4"deep)<br /> I used a great bag from bungalow 360 (the pocket bag) but it is heavy because of all the pockets--and the front pockets don't close so I have bent over and dumped out my cell phone into a creek. (12" x 9" x 4")<br /> I used a very simple box-like purse with no compartments and everything fits perfectly but it is hard to get one thing out without lifting everything else out. (10" x 7" x 4")</p> <p>See, I have always been a tiny-purse lady and this diaper bag throws me for a loop. I really need something cross body...</p> <p>Recommendations for a purse I can convert into a diaper bag. Nothing bigger than 12" x 9" x 4"? </p>
