I keep a bin with diapers, wipes, gallon size zip locks, a first aid kit, an outfit for all three, extra socks, extra mitts, a super absorbent towel, a box of granola bars, a couple pouches, a box of crayons and some paper.

My diaper bag only ever had a couple diapers and a small pack of wipes. I hardly use it anymore. I also keep a go bag in the bottoms of each of our strollers.
There's rarely anything on my person but tons of supplies nearby.

@valentinemommy: i'm preg with my 3rd right now, but have had a "catastrophe" bag in the car for awhile now. i adjust seasonally (live in a state with 4 distinct seasons!), and make sure i have the right sizes/etc of things at that point too. it's great because then i really only have to grab diapers/wipes & snacks on our way out the door to most places, but if i forget, we can deal!

right now, i still have my Fall stuff, which is: a pack of wipes, 3-5 diapers for DD2, a full spare outfit for both DD1 and DD2 (includes underwear for DD1), a hoodie/sweatshirt for each kid, a potette plus travel potty, and my old Dria nursing cover (which could be a blanket or a shirt for me if needed!). i also usually have a couple mini bottles of water, some granola bars (or similar), and a couple pouches, but i need to re-stock!

Change of clothes for all 3 kids. Diapers and extra undies. Sometimes extra flip flops or mittens depending on summer/winter. And then a few granola bars in case of emergency.

The regular diaper bag is mostly just the baby

Currently I have a back pack in the car with diapers wipes change of clothes and a water cup. My kids are 2.5 and 4 months both I diapers

Most places I don't even bring it in with me, but if we are going to a friends for a couple hours and someone is likely to need a diaper change I bring it in.

I have a bin in the car with diapers in the sizes of both my kids, a pack of wipes, and an emergency change of clothes for the baby. If I were you I might throw in a change of pants and underpants for the 4 year old just in case.

I am a chronic over-packer and with baby #3 on the way, I'm afraid I'm going to end up carrying a freaking suitcase with me. While researching "diaper bags for 3 kids", I saw that some of you pack a extra bag and just leave it in your car, and only carry the essentials on you.

So....if this is you....I'm wondering what you pack in each bag? I'm probably totally over thinking this, but again, I'm an over-packer who likes to be prepared for everything. Kids will be 4 (fully potty trained), almost 2, and an infant.
