@travelingbrit: Haha...I so feel you. I'm in the boat now where if I put on a clean sweatshirt and LO spits up on it, I just wipe it and continue to wear it.

And ditto on donating the diapers! Or, if you have a friend who is going to have a baby soon, you could save them for her!

@travelingbrit: glad you found a solution! You could free cycle or donate the diapers instead of pitching, I'm sure someone else could use them!

@2PeasinaPod: I agree. None of the books tell you the important stuff, like when to change diaper sizes or how to get poop out of your clothes.

On a related note, since I've been staying at home I have been rewearing pajama nursing tops a few days in a row. I noticed poo on mine yesterday. Dry crusty poop. Goodness knows how long it had been there. I can't believe I've become one of "those" moms. :)

No leakage after being in a size 1 overnight. He didn't poop though but his clothes werent wet which they have been recently.

SO didn't get the size 1s down from on top of the closet (he must have only grabbed the one diaper last night.

Since I can't reach the box, I put him in a newborn from the dresser this morning and again wet clothes.

As soon as he gets home I'm going to have him fill the drawer with the size 1, and throwout the rest of the newborn (seems like a waste!).

Thanks everyone for the reassurance! They seemed too big but it looks like its time to move up!

Agree on upping the size. I think newborn diapers are only good up to 8 pounds depending on the brand. We're currently in between sizes 1 and 2 and it's so hard to know when to switch!

@travelingbrit: how'd it go? We had LO in size 1 around that same weight and we've only had the occasional blowout.

Agree on size up. We were in ones.pretty quickly because of blowouts. Still had some leaks in the legs because she was skinny skinny, but could get the waist nice and tight. I don't remember much of a difference between swaddlers and sensitive.

Oh and the sensitives don't have dry max where as the regular swaddlers do.

Try size 1s. They seemed so big at first when we put it on LO but no more blow outs. And I agree with making sure the ruffles are all out and not tucked in. Do you have a boy? If so make sure his man part is pointed down.

I thought the 1s looked really big on her when we first started using them. But they contained everything much better! She was about 8 lbs when we made the switch.

I would size up, even if they seem a bit big. Also, make sure all the little ruffle things are out when you put the diaper on. If any are folded in things are more likely to leak out.

How is the fit? Do they leave marks on her hips like they are too tight? We had almost a blowout a day around that age. We tried bigger diapers but they were too big.

Since we left the hospital, we've been using pampers swaddlers - newborn.
We ran out recently but had a box of pampers swaddlers sensitive - newborn, so have been using those. I *thought* they were identical.

Last week we've suffered a blowout or wetness leak every single day. All my clothes are covered in poop. It has been coming out the back and the leg.

LO is 1 month and 8lb 14oz.

Any idea why this is happening?

I thought perhaps we needed to move up to size 1 but they seem too big!

Is there a difference between the regular and sensitive swaddlers?

SO is getting peed on as we speak.......
