C tries to flip over during diaper changes, which is always fun. If I give him something new and exciting, he'll lay still. Like my keys, an envelope, the wipe container...basically anything that I don't let him play with on a regular basis!

@swedishfish: @redsmarties: Hopefully they start getting better for all of us soon! I'm not sure how much longer I can handle this! I am definitely making sure my husband does his fair share of diaper changes!

@mrbee: I haven't tried this, but will definitely give it a shot!

Yes, diaper changes started being crazy at around 7 months-he flips over and tries to crawl away. We try giving him things to hold onto, or counting to 10 (he responds to that for some reason), but oh man, it sends the blood pressure soaring every time!

When does diaper craziness end???

I posted about this a few times but ultimately what's saved my sanity is the poo-poose. I found it on amazon, it's a contoured changing pad with big thick soft Velcro straps. It keeps LO down, in diaper change position. He still screams bloody murder through the diaper change, but it goes faster since I'm not constantly wrestling him and flipping him back over and holding him down. Sometimes if the "toy" is enticing enough, he will actually cooperate. By "toy" I mean stuff he isn't supposed to have. Lotion, remote, etc.

No advice! We just started dealing with this, too (LO is 8.5 months). She rolls over and tries to crawl away - I cannot physically pin her down because she is so wiggly. She cries the whole time, too!

R is 10 months old and diaper changes have been difficult for over a month now. We try different toys but that's hit or miss. Singing distracts her sometimes but the best bet has been double teaming the diaper change. Unfortunately that's next to impossible all of the time.

My daughter s 9 months old and diaper changes are such a challenge. She will start crying the minute we walk into her room to change it and then scream and flail her body the entire time. I dread having to change her diaper. I've tried giving her toys to distract her with limited success. I don't know what else to do. Has anyone dealt with this before? Any ideas to make them more tolerable?
