<description>&#60;p&#62;In my opinion you need something to contain the stink particularly after your LO starts solids. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;However, if you are committed to flushing poop down the toilet, the stink isn't so bad and you could probably live without the diaper pail and just use a trash can with a lid.

<description>&#60;p&#62;We have a Diaper Genie. It contained the stink very well. I think even if you take out the trash everyday, a dirty diaper sitting in the garbage will start to smell pretty quickly.
