@aprk: I guess it wouldn't hurt to try it, haha. Poor Xander - he has all sorts of issues going on in the diaper area!

@Adira: I've never used jojoba oil myself but I think it's in some if the natural diaper rash creams so it could work

@aprk: I didn't find coconut oil, but I found jojoba oil! Could I use that on the affected areas?

@JerricaBenton: Thanks for the info! Glad to hear I'm not the only one to experience this! I'll have to see I can find something similar to the EMAB Bottom Balm you mentioned! I feel so bad that he's got this dry skin going on now!

LO had a little rash last month and I started using some Triple Paste I had a sample of. It cleared it up right away, but like you experienced, her skin started to get dry. I used EMAB Bottom Balm, on those areas because it's so gentle. It soothed the dry patches within a few days. I used a combo of triple paste and EMAB for a few days, making sure to get the Triple Paste only on the places where she had the rash. I ended up switching to the All Natural Boudreaux's Butt Paste and I think that worked just as well as Triple Paste and was less drying.

So Xander's had some diaper rash going on and we found out he's got a little bit of a yeast infection, so we have a prescription for that. I've been really good about cleaning him, letting him dry, applying Triple Paste everywhere (and the prescription where the yeast infection is), but lately I've noticed that the crease where his legs meet his hips seems really DRY. I'm wondering if maybe I've been going overboard in this area? (The yeast infection isn't near here) Should I just continue what I'm doing, or should I maybe put some Aquaphor where he seems dry? I don't want to make his diaper rash worse, but now I'm wondering if he's red because it's so dry and raw... ugh, I don't know what I'm doing!
