Have you tried diapers specifically made for nighttime? My son is a heavy wetter too and those work for us! Especially if upping the size and changing brands doesn't work.

Thanks everyone! I totally didn't think you could size up that much, but I am going to give it a shot!

I put my 4 mo old in a sz 3 diaper last night and then topped it off with a sz 6 (from her old sister) over top. It's probably not the best long term solution, but until I buy overnight diapers, I think I'll keep doing it. Usually she soaks her clothes, sleep sack, and sheets, and the double diaper kept her dry.

Definitely size up! I'm having this problem now with my girl and I'm getting a package of size 5's tonight even though she still fits fine in the 4's.

Lately we've been doubling up on diapers at night and it seems to work. I'd like to use up the rest of the pack before opening the new pack of the next size up.

I would suggest trying the size 4 swaddlers. DS is 7.5 months old and was probably around 18lbs when we put him in them. They seemed HUGE then but we've not had any blowouts in them. He typically sleeps 830pm-630am and also almost always poops right when he wakes up, before we even go in to get him. In other words, the diaper is mega-full but we haven't had any blowouts or leaks.

Definitely go up a size! My LO always go up a size before the weight limit says he should. My 13 month old is wearing size 6's to bed!

Could you maybe change his diaper when you give him a bottle? We did that with DS and the diaper change while he's drinking didn't phase him.

@Mrs. Carrot: Oh wow I never knew they made those for disposable diapers! Great idea! Maybe I'll try a regular maxi pad tonight and see if that helps. He wakes up around 4am for a bottle and is not leaking at that point, but by 6am is leaking everywhere, so we only need to buy a couple of hours.

These are magical and got us through that stage with LO. http://www.amazon.com/Select-Booster-Diaper-Doubler-count/dp/B0083973FK/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1444926696&sr=8-5&keywords=diaper+liners
(these are usually much cheaper at Babies R Us, though I can't seem to find the link on their site).

Maxi pads would work too, in theory.

@.twist.: Oh bummer! I'm assuming once he stops getting a bottle in the MOTN it might be better, but we're not there yet.

I tried changing brands. Upping sizes. You name it. Nothing worked. Eventually he out grew it. So... there's that? haha

I'm sorry you're dealing with this! I went thought it too and it is SUCH a pain.

So frustrated! My 9 month old pees a TON overnight and 3-4 times a week he also poops right before he wakes up. Almost every single morning his diaper leaks pee or poop everywhere. We were using Pampers Swaddlers, and just switched to Huggies Overnights but there is no difference. He's only 18lbs so in Size 3 and I feel like Size 4 would be ginormous!

Any tips? So sick of changing his sheets!
