My 3.5yo is like this. We are still using huggies overnights for him. His diaper is soaked every morning. I've thought about switching to pull ups, but I figure if this is still working, why rock the boat. I also use a diaper doubler pad. He fits fine in the huggies size 6 overnights, but he's pretty skinny. With a bigger kid, you might have to look at overnight pull ups or something like that.

My DS1 was pretty much too big for diapers when we potty trained and we switched to overnight pull-ups. They hold LOTS of pee. I had given up on cloth overnight a long time ago because they just never held enough. I found them easier because he could step into them to put them on and you can easily rip the sides to take them off.

We are in the process of potty training and we only use the Pampers Easy Ups. They are the only brand we found that don't leak on us through the night. They are really absorbent. We have tried Huggies and we have tried non-name brand only to have them leak on us.

In my experience, the overnight pull-ups leaked less than diapers. We switched to the night pull-ups slightly before we potty trained because the diapers were leaking consistently, but the pull-ups didn't. We're still using overnight pull-ups, though we don't use any during the day. They have been more and more dry lately, so we'll probably phase them out soon.

Regular pull-ups might not make it. Night time pull-ups exist, but will probably be more expensive than night time diapers.

There’s nighttime pull ups. It’s called Good Nites. I use these for my 3 year old at night. Bc some times in middle of night, he likes to use bathroom and he can’t with diaper.

Pull ups don’t hold as much as pee. I have a friend who uses cloth at this age but they need a lot of inserts and she still uses disposables at night and for nap for her heavy wetter.

We use higgies....the pullups hold less than the night time diapers....for sure......

My DD can be a heavy soaker at night.......its sometimes a solid pound in the morning and dry other times! But the pull up would bust open with that volume.

I cloth diaper and got cloth pullups. What I love about them is that there's so much less waste. He's dry 95% of the time and can get them off he needs to pee at night. They're undies, so he doesn't want to pee in them. If he does pee, they hold it all. Sometimes we will get leg leaks, but he's super skinny.

Here's where I got them. They come from Canada, so shipping takes a bit, but it's worth it.

DD, 3, has been pretty solidly daytime toilet trained since last summer. We have kept her in diapers for naps and bedtime. Her naps are becoming more erratic, but when she does take one, she can often stay dry through them. At night, she has stayed totally dry a handful of times, but usually pees A LOT. Sometimes she soaks through her diaper.

When I was looking into nighttime diaper options, I realized that pull-ups in the brand we use are actually cheaper than diapers! I would be okay with making the switch (though pull-ups seem less convenient), but do pull-ups absorb as much as diapers? More? Less?

Also, has anyone used cloth diapers at this stage? We cloth diapered primarily until LO was about 18 months old, and I could pull those back out again . . .
