@wheres_c: hows B doing? DS has diarrhea right now (it actually started a couple days ago but what started off with 1 loose diaper has now progressively turned into every diaper being a loose one. We have his 9month well visit today so we are definitely going to bring this up.

DS doesn't appear to be dehydrated because he still has wet diapers and is alert/happy but I think we are going to give him pedialyte.

DS had diarrhea after trying whole milk for the first time. He went 8 times in a day so I called the doctor after the 4th or 5th time because it was very unusual for him. They only wanted me to bring him in if he stopped peeing or developed a fever. He just wanted to nurse all day for the next couple days and was producing plenty of pee diapers so I never brought him in.

Ugh.....I changed 6 poopy diapers yesterday. I know that's normal for some babies but B is a once a day baby! Already changed one today. If things don't solidify by this afternoon I will call the Ped. He's still pushing Sundays dinner through his system...ick

@wheres_c: Chloe's appetite dipped yesterday, but she's back to normal today. If she wasn't, I would have called!

The stomach bug went through our house over the weekend. It isn't any fun! :(

DD (she's 2) had a stomach bug last week and even though she had crazy diarrhea and vomiting, it lasted less than 2 days and she was keeping hydrated so I wasn't too-too worried. But there is no harm in calling the doctor, right? Trust your gut!

If in doubt, I always call the doctors office and see what they recommend. I don't think I would worry about this until it was on day 2 or 3, but I am not a doctor. If anything they can give you suggestions on how to combat it and what to feed.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: He hasn't been eating much lately, but I chalked it up to the cold. I guess I'll re-evaulate this afternoon?
He's already had 3 poopy diapers this AM. Usually he only goes once a day.

Poor baby!

When C has an upset stomach I try to avoid dairy products. It seems to upset her belly more.

I don't worry about diarrhea unless she isn't eating normally, drinking fluids and/or doesn't have at least 6 wet diapers in a 24 hour period. If she has diarrhea combined with a fever I call right away.

Little B has had a cold for the past few days, and last night had his first loose bowel movement. He's been up since 7 and I've already changed two nasty dirty diapers.
The only thing different in his diet is that apparently while I was gone, daddy tried to feed him "go-gurt". Why daddy would do that is beyond me!

Anyway, how long with diarrhea before I should get worried/take him to the Ped?

Do you think it was the go gurt? Or part of his illness?
