So how could it not help fertility/ fertility treatments? I pay out of pocket so it is pricey but the feeling it gives you that your doing something positive got your body and relieving stress makes it worth it. When looking for someone who "specializes" infertility I would quiz them a little. I've gone to 3 different acupuncturists and the one I go to now I trust over my RE's he is so good and knows so much. Another one wrote a book on fertility so I trusted her too. The 3rd one gave blank stares when I explained my husbands SA results and my recent lab work- so it was a dead give away he had no idea what I was talking about so I wouldn't consider him a specialist. I went to an acupuncturist who told me my luteal phase was too short and something else about a cold uterus. She told me that those issues were easy to fix and that she usually has success within three cycles of weekly acupuncture and daily Chinese herbs. I got pregnant on the second cycle! It could be a coincidence, but I know from using OPKs that I ovulated a couple days earlier that I had been before the acupuncture and herbs. We weren't TTC for long before I started, but it really helped my cycle regulate even though I had been off BC for over a year. Went from 34 day cycle to 28. Almost no EWCM to a good amount. Plus it just helped me feel less stressed and healthier overall. Side bonus was that it helped clear up my allergies and asthma which I had been battling for years!! It can get expensive. Maybe find a place that will do a sliding scale payment?! I was pregnant within 6 to 8 weeks of starting and am now almost 20 weeks,'which is much further along than my two losses. I am not sure I can thank acupuncture for the pregnancy progressing or for getting PG quickly (the two previous losses were both after two months of TTC). That said, I have no regrets and would do it again. It helps to feel like you are doing something that may make a difference. But you would need to ask the doctors themselves.
