The most I've been away from either kid is two nights, which I've done a few times. This trip would be a little less than a week. My 4 year old seems pumped about all the stuff she's going to do with her grandparents and I think with Skype she'll be fine. My younger daughter will be a bit shy of two and I'm worried that she'll be upset and have a difficult time. I'd just wait but I think this will be the only time dh and I have this sort of opportunity for a couple years. </p> <p>Did your kids have any negative reactions when both parents were gone for awhile? </p>
