Two of my friends showed up on Saturday and the party was the next day. My mom and I were in the middle of cleaning and about to go shopping. How embarrassing!!! </p> <p>We had someone turn up to our wedding the day after but it wasn't his fault. It was a very old friend of DH's who is, how can I put this, a bit of a mess. Too many drugs over too many years has made him lose his mind a little bit... DH invited him because he felt like he should and we were a little concerned about how he might behave, but he never turned up. We found out a few weeks later that our best man and a few of DH's other mates hatched a plan and told him, all individually, the wedding had been moved to the Saturday.
