But they were all being super-obnoxious and kept asking me why I wasn't drinking. I just kind of blew them off and never answered.</p> <p>Well, after my husband and I left the restaurant, everyone bombarded my mom and asked if I was pregnant, and she didn't even try to respect our privacy. Secretly getting pre-married is a much bigger deal! He just gave me a look of death, but wasn't TOO surprised since he knew I didn't want to keep it a secret anyway - secret pregnancies are exhausting! Especially since we eat dinner with my ILs multiple times each week, and there would be no other excuse to turn down alcohol besides being pregnant, so I just didn't want to deal with it.</p> <p>OH, I DID get outed! I totally forgot. So I told MIL and FIL on a Saturday morning. DH figured he might as well tell his Brother since the news was on its way out, so he called his brother in Michigan to tell him. Well, then later in the day I was texting with MIL, SIL#1 (DH's sister) and SIL#2 (DH's brother's wife), and SIL#2 says something along the lines of 'Congrats swurlygurl on the new pregnancy!'. I hadn't told SIL#1 yet because I was waiting until dinner that night! So then she called me a little upset that she was the last to know. But he was so excited he decided to tell her at 6 weeks. She claims she asked if she could tell her mom (we do NOT recall that) but we don't have a relationship with MIL's mom so either way, whatever... just got mad that MIL's mom then told DH's aunt who we wanted to tell ourselves. No worse feeling that telling someone and having them say "I know... XYZ told me." :shocked: </p> <p>@swurlygurl: haha that's HILARIOUS!!! What happened after you said that??? DH did that when we got married "secretly" (courthouse) prior to our wedding so i could be on DH's insurance. He was filing taxes at his mom's and she was asking if I did mine, and he said, no, we filed together because we're married. My BIL in law found out from his mom (who is my BFF's mom's best friend) so he knew before my own sister. Luckily he kept his mouth shut and let me tell my sister! He just gave me a knowing look when we watched the Super Bowl at my parent's house.
