I honestly feel that because of the limited diets breastmilk alone isn't enough nutritionally and I'm starting to accept that. It's a tough decision because ultimately you don't know if it's going to be better or worse. I feel like the neocate allowed his gut flora to fix itself and then we have been able to start digesting food. He has gained 3 pounds in the last 2 months after not gaining (and losing some) for 6 months. So, even with the additives, I would try it. We are now back to exclusive breast and solids.
