For the first two semesters I was prgnant, parenting, working full time and going to school, but I quit work once DS was born to focus on school and the kids. Now I'm in my last real semester of classes. This summer I have a field study to do and then I will graduate (finally!) With my Master's in Library Sciences.</p> <p>I think it's totally doable with a strong commitment to your goal and a helpful and understanding partner. There are times I struggle with tbe workload, but I'm glad to complete my degree now while the kids are young. I started my graduate degree when I was pregnant, gave birth after the first semester, and have been in school ever since. It's been hard paying attention and surviving first with pregnancy brain, then with mom brain, but I THINK I've learned something? Either way, I'll be graduating in June and I'm due with #2 in September. My SIL finished her math degree over the span of about a decade, (she started when her first daughter was a toddler, took a while off and finished when her younger daughter was a toddler). The U of M is not only crazy $$$ but hard to get into and an hour away. I'm going to a community college that partnered with another State School to offer a BSN program at the CC. I will start by taking a class this summer and then a full course load this fall. I'm excited to be starting school again but really nervous for how to make it work with a toddler. Especially since with my degree I'll have to take a lot of science classes with on-campus labs.
