I always spotted 3-5 days before getting a "real" period. Other than annoying, it didn't seem to impact anything.

I always had spotting about 2-3 days prior to getting my period. I brought it up to my OB before we started kinda-sorta-TTC and she said if I had a hard time getting pregnant, it was something to keep in mind. However, we got pregnant relatively quickly (we never really TTC... more like NTNP) in about 3 months so it wasn't an issue for us. Hopefully it's not an issue for you, either. :)

i've always had brown spotting 2 days or so before my period, and it didn't affect my health or ability to get pregnant! i actually always considered it a blessing, because i never got a surprise visit from AF! my best friend would always get a very loud surprise visit from AF, which would ruin lots of panties, but thankfully my spotting always let me know she was coming.

I also always spot 3-5 days b/f AF. I'm still a little concerned that it will be a problem with getting pregnant, but I don't know one way or another yet to tell you that it is or isn't a problem. Taking a B Complex seems to help a little, pushing it back an extra day or two, but I'm still getting it. I think it's only problematic if the spotting is starting less than 10 DPO though, because it could impact implantation. But I learned this from the internet, so take it with a jar of salt.

My 2 cycles off BC before I got pregnant, I had spotting for 1-2 days before my period started. I wouldn't worry about it.

I went off BC in May after being on it for over 6 years. My cycles were immediately regular (28-29 days). The last few months, though, I have had brown spotting 2-3 days before AF shows (I have been charting and I have a small amount of spotting today at 10dpo). I usually only notice it when I wipe, but I do feel a little crampy. I am just wondering if this is normal or something I should be concerned about? We are not TTC yet, I am just charting in preparation. Has anyone else had something like this?
